Sip & Gogh Kapitolyo : Paint, Sip and Laugh

If you're looking for a unique activity this rainy season, I highly suggest to bring out the inner Van Gogh in you through this fun painting workshop.

Sip & Gogh is located at Kapitolyo Pasig, 2F Ace Water Spa & Suites Building and they have other branches as well like in Eastwood, Alabang etc. you can check this at their site www.sipandgogh.com

To book a class, you can just go to their site, register, select a branch near you, choose the date and time and make your payment.

The class we attended costs PHP1000 each inclusive of the painting materials (you can take home the finished product), a drink and a snack.
Mermaid painting for me and
Mixed Nuts with Dalandan Juice for snacks

So first, we chose a pattern painting from the ones available in the shop or you can pick your own picture as a guide.

Sunset painting for Mike and
Salami with Tea for snacks

Then you have to put on your painting aprons! Just remember to return them afterwards! (we almost forgot ('^_^)

starting from a blank canvas, the instructor will guide you through every step to copy the painting you want.

from mixing colors, proper brush strokes and what not.

somebody's taking it seriously XD

tada! until you finish your masterpice!

ginalingan!

our finished artwork ^_^

I struggled at painting the mermaid but it turned out okay. ('^_^)

We had fun and really enjoyed the experience. We didn't think we could actually paint but somehow managed ^_^

Will I ever go back and try again? Yes! I'm now booking another session with my sisters! ^_^

Kissako Uji Matcha Cafe

I finally had the chance of trying this place out. Since I've discovered the wonders of matcha, I'm always open in trying different matcha dishes/drinks.
Kissako Uji Matcha Cafe is located at Kapitolyo, Pasig. You can take a tricycle from Boni station to get here.

The place is a bit small..

and untidy

THE MENU

It's a dessert place. They have hot and cold drinks and very few sandwhiches. Matcha Ramen is probably the only heavy meal in the menu. So unless you want to try Matcha Ramen, it's not a good idea to go here if you're really hungry. Otherwise you'll be disappointed.

Matcha Ramen PHP200
The noodles is made using matcha I think but tastes bland for me. The soup is miso based. The pork was okay. It tastes okay for the price but not something I'd really crave for.

For the drinks, we tried their best sellers.
Iced Matcha Latte PHP140
My friend says it tastes like "halaman" (plant). Which I think was just fair since matcha is made from ground tea leaves.

Iced Choco Hojica PHP140
Ice blended Dark Chocolate and Matcha.
The matcha taste was strong but not too much. It's just right.

Hot Matcha Latte PHP160
90% milk and 10% matcha, even if you mix it well you can barely taste any matcha. Okay I"ll give points for the cute artwork. :)

K, Thanks, Bye XD
No really, it was a nice place to try, but not a place I'd frequent if you know what I mean. If you're into matcha, well it's a nice place to try. ^_^

Rub Ribs & BBQ

I'm not really a fan of ribs but we've been here twice in a month so that has to mean something :)

According to their menu, Rub has 3 branches, QC, Pasig and Makati. Since I'm from QC it makes sense that we have already tried 2 of their branches.. first in Makati and second in Pasig. XD
Their Makati branch is a bit bigger with lots of cute stuff/frames on the wall.

THE MENU
(same for both branches)

Super Duo PHP340
1 rack of Ribs and 2 Sides

Buffalo Chicken Wings PHP260
This is what I ordered since this is a ribs place ^_^

Needless to say it was good. I got to taste the ribs too and it tastes good even without the sauce. I think I like this better than Racks'.

Their Buffalo Chicken served with blue cheese was yummy too.

Servings from the Pasig Branch
Super Duo PHP340
1 rack of Ribs and 2 Sides

Family Brunch PHP720
2 racks of Ribs and 3 Sides
