Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask vs. Elizavecca Milky Piggy Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask

Today we tried my sister's mask and my mother will be the first one to use it earning some rants from my sister. XD

Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask
This costs PHP550 from ph.althea.kr
The small tub comes with a spatula.

It's gray and has a gooey consistency but smells like jelly.
It somehow reacts with air so you have to close and store it properly.
Usually, you use masks after cleansing and putting a toner but with this one you have to use it with dry uncleansed face (beats me why).

It's quite hard to apply evenly and you have to be fast. After 5 minutes, it bubbles like crazy so don't put too much under your nose or it'll be hard to breathe. It reminds me of Hydrogen Peroxide (Agua Oxinada)

After 5 minutes, massage it on your face for about 2 minutes and rinse with luke warm water. I found it difficult to rinse.

After using, the face will be brighter but I feel like it's drying and prickling the sides of my nose and my pimples. So I immediately applied my toner and moisturizer after.

The mask I bought from Althea as well which is the Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask. This one has more like a clay consistency, has no scent and costs PHP560.

This is just like a regular mask which you apply after cleansing and toning to help evenly spread the mask then you have to wait for 10-15minutes to dry. It feels cool to the skin, easy to rinse and leaves your skin soft and blurs your pores.

Verdict: The Bubble Clay Mask piqued my interest because it was unique and it was the first time I'ved tried something like that but I don't like how hard it is to rinse that it feels like you haven't washed it off completely. Also I don't like how it's drying and I was afraid my dry patches would resurface. So yeah I think I'll stick to the Innisfree Super Volcanic Clay Mask.

Althea Korean Cosmetics Online Store Review

There's this ad about althea which always pops up in my facebook feed and being the curious and shop-a-holic bloke that I am, I checked out the website and ordered a few items I'd liked to try.
Their site is ph.althea.kr which I already know by heart. I have already had 3 transactions with them along with my family and officemates.

The package comes in a neat pink box (covered in bubble wrap which is a plus)

And all items inside are completely sealed (and again wrapped in bubble wraps)

This was my first loot
Etude Drawing Pencil PHP160
(PHP178 in stores)
Eyebrow Brush PHP60
Screw Brush PHP40

Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask PHP560 (around PHP800 in stores)
I have heard a lot of great things about this mask. I have already used it twice and so far so good. It feels very refreshing on the skin and does a good job bluring out some pores. It's nice that you can see immediate results after using the product. I just wish it came with a free spatula.

Etude House Wonder Pore Freshner PHP440 (around PHP550 in stores)
I honestly don't know if it's effective but it's not doing anything bad so far so i'll just keep on using it.

Swanicoco Snail Skin Toner and Emulsion Set PHP832
This is my favorite find so far. I think it's a really good introduction to snail products. I was afraid it wouldn't be any good for my oily skin but what do I know I love it. They are not sticky at all and it smells good.

Swanicoco Snail Skin Toner
It's not as liquidy or water-like like most if not all toners I've tried. It has a certain consistency but still easy to apply.

Swanicoco Snail Emulsion
Emulsions are like light moisturizers which are good for oily skin. It looks quite firm but

it actually melts when it comes in contact with your skin.

I initially thought it would make my skin oilier than it already is but no. And I like the dewy healthy glow it gives when you apply it.

These are my sister's loots

It's my Lip Crayon in Nudie Rose PHP240

Under Eye Brightener PHP190

Witch's Pouch Selfie Perfect Eyebrow PHP150
This is quite affordable because it comes with a refill.

Etude House Precious Mineral BB Cream Blooming Fit PHP660

You probably can't see it but it has a white cast to it.

She also bought a Carbonated Bubble Clay Mask for PHP550, Block block Soap PHP310 (expensive!) and she got a free item in the treasure hunt event which is Skin Food Rice Wash Off Mask PHP310

Overall the online shopping experience with Althea is nice but totally addicting. Items ship directly from Korea and it takes about a week before they send out Shipping Notifications and another 2-3 days before Delivery. Shipping is free with a Cash on Delivery option for orders PHP1500 and above. They also have a PHP150 coupon for new customers. Also they have different promotions every week like Buy 2 Take 1 or free gifts or treasure hunts. I will most probably repurchase here once I use up all my stuff. :)

Fall in Love Again with the May Elite BDJ Box

Honestly I was really disappointed with this box. It was supposed to be an elite box with summer goodies for the month of May but we received it on June when it's already raining. Two of my friends ordered the box as well and it was their first time to try BDJ Box and probably their last.
It's a Revlon exclusive box following Revlon's campaign of #chooselove

Box costs PHP1482. Contents are supposed to be double the value (PHP3015 in total).

Tweezer PHP150

Nail Pile PHP150

Volume + Length Mascara PHP650

Photo Ready Kajal PHP575
Eyeliner in 304 Matte Marine

Ultra HD Matte Lip Color PHP575
Matte Liptint in 615 HD Temptation

Photoready Skinlights PHP825
Highlighter in 300 Peach Light

Nail Polish in Lavander and Silver Glitter PHP250x2

Hair Color in 42R Medium Auburn PHP450

Swatches from Uppermost
Pink Sugar lip tint for comparison
Revlon matte lipstick
Sky Blue Eyeliner
Highlighter

Eyeliner and Lipstick on.
It's veerryy retro and loud and I don't see myself actually using them. It's sad that I won't even be able to use most of the contents I paid for. Probably the hair color and mascara (which I somehow misplaced).
It has been a nice affair with BDJ Boxes. My monthly dose of surprise and cosmetics. Sadly #walangforever when expectations turn to dissappointment. This is probably my last BDJ Box as well. I think I'm moving on to Althea boxes. Something I personally picked and worth wait waiting for. :)
