Cat Cafe Manila Experience

Cats and Coffee are two of the things I love most. So combining them through a Cat Cafe is the perfect combination. Cat cafe's have been famous for a long time in countries like Korea and Japan because they're "kawaii". Recently the Cat Cafe Mania has also reached the Philippines.

Cat Cafe Manila is located at 2F 189 Maginhawa St. cor. Makadios St., Sikatuna Village, Quezon City, inside Teacher's Village.

"Our mission is to spread our love for cats and advocate for responsible pet ownership while delivering a themed cafe experience to our consumers through our loving cats and mouth-watering food and drinks.

In partnership with CARA Welfare Philippines (Compassion and Responsibility for Animals), we will provide a home for beloved puspins (pusang pinoy) who will be up for adoption!"

If you're looking for cats with breed this is not the place to go. Cat Cafe Manila offers home to PusPins (Pusang Pinoy?) in partnership with CARA so supporting them would be a really great act of love from hoomans.

The Cafe is open Monday-Sunday from 12noon to 10pm. The place is small and limited to 22 hoomans at a time so you have to secure a reservation from their website http://catcafemanila.com/

Before going inside, you have to wash your hands and wear the provided slippers.

Admission fee is PHP200. PHP100 of which will go to support for the puspins and the remaining PHP100 is a meal voucher you can use to buy sweets and drinks in their shop.

House Rules

At the entrance, you will see pictures of resident cats.

there's a small corner for sweets, pastries and drinks which are delicious by the way.

they also sell really cute cat stuff from board games to cat ears.

then they also offer cat adoption in partnership with CARA

Maginhawa Food Trip Chronicles: The Z Compound

First things first, The Z (Zone) Compound is not really located at Maginhawa but at Malingap Street which is just next to Maginhawa. It's a collection of small restaurants with different specialties found in a small compound. It's pretty much like the Ketchup Food Community in Baguio with more variety and cheaper even. Most restaurants close at midnight.

So just like at Ketchup Food Community, you can sit anywhere you want and order from any restaurant. Tonight we ordered from 3 restaurants. BBQ Zone, Stones and The Backyard.

Menu at BBQ Zone
So as the name suggests, their specialty is BBQ. XD

3pcs. BBQ Sticks with Rice PHP99

Liempo with Rice PHP99

T-Bone Steak PHP188

Menu at Stones

I think they specialize in pika pika based on their menu. XD

2pcs. Buttermilk Drummettes PHP135

Root beer Float PHP80

 4pcs. Fried Oreos PHP60

 Menu at The Backyard

 Pesto Tuyo PHP135

 Marinara PHP145

 Bacon Lettuce and Tomato PHP145

Resident cat doing her rounds. Making sure the guests are enjoying their meals.

We ended up here because we can't decide which restaurant to go to, we wanted somewhere near, something cheap and with lots of variety. The Z Compound nailed those criteria. The food was good and the servings are actually generous for the price. I hope to try the others restaurants here as well.. :)

Other Restaurants at Maginhawa:
The Iscreamist
Crazy Katsu
Friuli Trattoria
