Spring into Beauty: BDJ Box Items Review

I was excited to try all the items in my box so I used as much as I could for a day and here's a short review.

Bath Essentials

First I used Asian Secrets whitening Facial and Body scrub. Note that they have to be applied on dry skin so it feels a bit weird at first. They both smell nice and they contain a lot of lulur beads which help exfoliate dead skin cells and whiten skin. The facial wash contains finer beads than the body scrub but you can still feel the scrubbing effect.
After rinsing, I used the My Choice Pure Herbal Soap in Watermelon variant. The soap is like a gel with cute thingies inside. It helps protect your skin from pollution and sun damage.

After that refreshing bath, my skin feels soft and moisturized.

Foot Mask

Next I tried the Tony Moly Intense Care Snail Foot Mask. The instructions were in Hangul and I can't find one online so yeah whatever. Snail Foot Mask. Snail. Slimy. I haven't tried any product with snail extracts because I think it's gross and slimy but apparently snail extracts "contains natural acids and elastin that’ll improve appearance and protect skin from future damage" according to an article I've read.

The package contains 2 big socks like plastics.

Inside the plastic, there's a wet cloth which I assume contains the snail extracts. So be sure to put your foot inside the cloth.

And as expected, it feels slimy..really slimy.. <cringes> (~_~) Leave it for 20 minutes.

Cosmetics

While waiting, I tried another item from Tony Moly, the Luminous Glow Aura CC (Color Control) Cream.

It has a very light color but CC Creams are supposed to blend to the color of your skin

After blending

So I tried it on, it doesn't show but it has a grayish cast and doesn't really blend well with my skin color. I don't know but I think it's too light for me. I then set it with my favorite pixie foundation and applied some eyeliner and blush.

Next we have the Revlon Highlighting Palette and the FS Cosmetics Lash Extravagance Mascara.

The mascara wand looks weird, rubbery, it reminds me of a bouncy jelly bean XD Anyway I feel like I get too much product with the wand causing my lashes to clump so I think I'm giving this one away.

The Revlon Highlighting Palette on the other hand is really nice and very pigmented. Looks nice on the skin too. :)

After removing the foot mask. Just by looking at this picture you can see how slimy it was.

Finished product. See? Too light.

But it didn't stop me from taking some selfies here and there XD

BDJ Box Unboxing: April: Spring into Beauty

I asked my younger sister to blog this for me and she just stared at the screen for sometime and wrote this "This is my sister second bdj box for the month of april" XD She's basically the reason why I'm into make up right now and she watches VLogs all the freakin time so I guess I expected a bit more.

Mustela: Stretch Marks Cream, 2in1 Hair and Body Wash and Hydra Bebe Body Lotion.

It says here it's for mothers and mothers to be and I know just the perfect recipient for this one.

My sister highly recomends this product but I have yet to try.

 FS Cometics Mascara PHP 350 which comes with a brochure of their products

 Last but definitely not the least, Revlon Higlighting Palette 7.5g PHP625
It comes in 3 variants and I got Bronze Glow

The total cost of products in the box is PHP1698 not including the mustela products and I just paid PHP580 for this box. ^_^ Well done BDJ team! I will try out these products soon :)

Pond's: BB Cream

I got these BB creams from my March BDJ Pond's Exclusive Box. It comes in a 25g tube and costs PHP299 each on the market.

 

It comes in 2 shades. Light and Beige.

It has a light coverage. You can still see that dark sport on my hand.

 Both pictures were taken at dinner time without retouch but then again I start my day at noon so you be the judge.

I've tried both and I've been using it for a week now. No breakouts yet.. surprisingly. I use it together with the Pearl Cleansing Gel and the Flawless White Dewy Rose Gel which makes the BB cream easier to apply it glides through the skin. Then I use my favorite pixy foundation to seal it in. :)

I think it's a good and cheap bb cream for everyday use. :)

BDJ Box Unboxing: March: Ponds Exclusive

This is my first ever BDJ (Belle de Jour) Box. I purchased it last December and the earliest box I was able to get was already for March. That's how in demand they are! Anyway I totally forgot about it and was surprised to get a call from LBC about the delivery of the box. I had it delivered at my home province so I had to wait until the weekend before I got my hands on the box.

I haven't tried any of these products but based on the descriptions they look pretty promising. I will try them for a week (Ponds 7 day challenge) and let you know how it goes.

UPDATE: I gave most of these away except for the dewy rose gel and beige bb cream which I still use from time to time. The products would have been great except they broke me out soo.. not for me.. my mom uses them though and she seems okay with it.
