Brave Frontier: Trial 003 Maxwell

I finally gathered the courage to fight Maxwell thanks to my BF friends. My units have been long ready. Time, concentration and courage is what I lack. So I took advantage of the holidays to get Maxwell and what do you know, I got her just in time for Christmas.

What you need?
1. Units that will last the 3 battles
2. Time
3. Concentration
4. Counter - #googlemolang
5. Full charged gadget - my battle lasted for 1.5 hours

What you're up to?
1. Battle 1: Juggernaut (Thunder) - Mitigate every 4 turns. Bring a nullifying status leader.
2. Battle 2: Abaddon (Dark) - If you have a separate squad for maxwell, let the first squad be killed at his 30% attack so your maxwell squad has time to fill up their BB.
3. Battle 3: Maxwell (Light)  - Counting is very important!!!

My Squad

Squad 1 was dedicated for the first two battles, Juggernaut and Abaddon.
Squad 2 was for Maxwell.
Squad 3 was just a filler in case something goes wrong.

Friends & Pots
Squad 1
Twins: (SBB10) Nullify Status and Defense buff
Lilith: (Dual Sphere SBB10) Damage dealer with unlimited sbb
Narza: (SBB4) Damage Mitigator
Lucana: (BB10) Healer and buffer
Lily and Zelnite (Dual Sphere SBB10): BC generation

Squad 2
Grahdens: (BB10) Medulla sphere for all allies, damage reduction from light and dark and dark and light attack buff.
Rowgen: (SBB10) Damage dealer with unlimited SBB
Darvanshel: (Dual Sphere SBB10) Damage mitigator
Tia: (SBB10) Healer
Lily: (SBB7) BC generation
Tridon: (SBB4) earth shield additional layer of defense

Squad 3
I didn't use this squad so no need for details here

Spheres

GGC spheres, Legwands and Sol Creators mostly.

Counting from the first battle is important to know what mood maxwell's in when you enter battle 3.
http://touchandswipe.github.io/bravefrontier/maxwellcounter.html

I suck at counting. I only remembered to count on my 2nd turn.
Even after I remembered counting, I lost count on my 7th/8th turn so there goes my counting down the drain.

It was a good thing I was able to mitigate every other turn so I was safe with the first 2 battles.

When I entered battle 3, maxwell was in a good mood. I learned which turn I was in the hard way, her 20th turn ( Rune+Sacred Song+Destiny). Good thing mitigation was on and most units were guarded.

Anyway counting is important to know which turn to kill maxwell. She has an angel idol buff so if you don't kill her without it, she will just keep on reviving.

Just follow the instructions on what to do using the counter and you'll be fine.

Aside from counting, you'll also need to take note on the hp percentage when they perform special attacks.

Tridon was a very big help. I think it's the safest and easiest way to get maxwell from what I've heard so far.

That purple hp is Tridon's power in action

Brave Frontier: Trial 002 Grahdens

I just finished with trial 002 after several tries. The first few I was trying to strong arm him by using a mono light squad since Grah is a dark unit which apparently is not a good strategy since he's leader skill has damage reduction from light and dark types. Also damage of light and dark are at par with each other so.. yeah not a good idea to bring mono light.

Oh and before you get to Grahdens, you have to finish off Karl first. Check my blog about Trial 001. :)

These are the squads I used:

Duel SGX 6* SBB 6
Sefia 6* BB 2
Twins 6* SBB 6
Dilma 6* BB 1
Serin 5* BB 6

Melchio 6* SBB 6
Eze 6* BB 1
Elsel 5* BB 7
Cayena 5* BB 1
Alice 6* SBB 8

Kikuri 4* BB 1
Xenon 4* BB 1
Lunaris 4* BB 1

These are the helpers I chose:
Grah for his leader skill

Lancia for the heal

Grah for his leader skill

These are the spheres I used:

I actually forgot to setup the spheres for the rest of the units XD.

When to guard?
Guard on your first turn!!!
After this I used the fujin potion on the twins to heal the squad gradually for 3 turns.

Guard at 70% of Grah's HP
Use only 1 unit to attack and guard the rest.

I used Serin to attack and guard the rest. She died and I used the revive on her.

Guard at 40% of Grah's HP
Again use only 1 unit to attack and guard the rest. Again I used Serin as sacrifice here surprisingly she didn't die.

Guard when Grah's about to die.
Guard at least one unit while the rest finish him off. This I failed to do so my first squad got wiped off hehe

So squad 2 delivered the final blow.

Rewards for finishing Trial 002:

Tadah!! A Lord type Grahdens!

I used this gem to level him up hehe

Maxwell is up next.. Are you ready?? ^_^

Brave Frontier: Trial 001 Karl

I'm not much of a gamer nor am I the type to write game reviews but I just want to share and keep my karl experience intact.

I'm in level 91 when I tried karl. I know most have tried it in their earlier levels but what can I say, I'm sacred to try!

But my friend said its okay to try and fail, you can always try again. At least that way you'll have an assessment of what units to bring the next time.

So yeah, I researched just enough to know what team to bring and what strategy to use and what pots to bring. I didn't watch any videos because I wanted to try it for myself.

These are some of the things to note. So karl has 2 forms. For the first form, if hp decreases to 50% it transforms to its second form and replenishes hp to 100%. For the second form, if hp decreases to 50% karl will pretty much wipe off your entire team (blue execution). It's pretty safe after that. I didn't bother to guard I lost count because of my nerves T_T

These are the squads I used.

These are the reinforcements I used.

The twins for squad 1 to negate status ailments.

Grah for squad 2 for the buffs, since the status ailments are already covered by my twins lead.

And eze with sbb for the atk and hp buff for my mono thunder squad, since the status ailments are already covered by my ronel lead.

As you may have noticed I'm big on covering for the status ailments. This is so I don't need to bring potions and stuff and focus more on cures since I don't have much healer units.

The spheres I used.

For the spheres I used those that will last for the entire fight well except for the filler team where I used muramasa for more damage.

Squad 1: Filler
Melchio 5* BB 1
Estia 4* BB 2
Logan 4* BB 1
Xenon 3* BB 1
Light Pot ^_^
The first team is pretty much the filler team. With the focus of making as much damage as they can so I used xenon as lead for the 15% atk buff for light and dark units. I didn't bother to use any pots here. This squad got me through 75% of karls first form.

Squad 2: Rainbow
Duel SGX 6* SBB 2
Sefia 6* BB 1
Twins 6* SBB 6
Dilma 5* BB 3
Alice 6* SBB 8
The second is a rainbow team which is composed mostly of the main team I usualy use with the twins as lead to negate status ailments and increase defense and recovery. With the focus of making it until blue execution. I used alice and the twins as healer here but still used 4 cures. This squad got me through blue execution.

Elsel 5* BB 7
Ronel 6* BB 1
Eze 6* BB 1
Emilia 4* BB 1
Fennia 4* BB 1

The third is the mono thunder team. To finish of the rest of karl. I used the rest of the cure here and the seals. I used fujin potion to fill up eze friend's sbb for atk buff. Yup this team finished off karl.

The pots I brought

As you can see I didn't use the revive at all and my mono team survived.

Yay! 500k zel

+ Karl

+ 1 Gem

Now, they say Grah is easier than Karl? To Grah or not to Grah? ^_^
