When I saw this ad, I immediately looked for friends who are willing to join me. I've always wanted to try this because it looks so fun.
I registered online through the Track Oval site. There are 4 categories being, 3k, 5k, 10k and 21k. We registered for the 3k category which costs PHP950 (a bit expensive if you ask me). The race kit includes a sling bag, dry fit shirt, cm sunglasses, race bib, finisher's medal and color packet. Online registration and payment was really convenient BUT..
1. During registration, I encountered an error that didn't allow me to continue where I left of and I couldn't use my email address anymore so I had to use another one.
2. Delivery of the packet was not an option during online registration. You have to pick a date when you'll claim your race kit at SM Mall of Asia which is pretty inconvenient when you live in the north.
3. Delivery of race kits were later offered but I saw a lot of complaints from their facebook page from runners who haven't received their race kits yet (a day before the race).
I somehow knew the race kit won't reach me in time for the race if I had it delivered so we just claimed it at SM MoA. From Bulacan to MoA just to claim the race kits :(
And when we arrived, we were met with long lines for claiming the race kits.

A little introduction about color manila run. So apparently, the registration fee is a bit expensive because some of it goes to charity (particularly for the mangyan kids who also joined the race).
A little speech from DoT regarding their campaign "Visit the Philippines Again 2016".
A little warm up (looks like a party to me)
And then the countdown started.
Groupie of us still clean before the race.
And then not so clean.
I told my friend I wanted to get all the colors in my shirt, I think an organizer heard me and splashed a fistful of green powder in my face. XD
Finish Line! Yay!
Our poor shoes splashed with all sorts of colors.
After Party
Party after the run.
Look what happened to our hair XD
If it wasn't obvious enough we really really enjoyed it! :) The powder smells like faint detergent which somehow irritates my eyes and makes it hard to breathe (I didn't want to ingest all the powder). Maybe that was just me but I wanted to share it. But yeah we really enjoyed it.
It was quite challenging to find a place where we can clean up a bit. We didn't think other commuters would appreciate our colorful attire.
My stuff after the race.
The colors are pretty easy to remove. Just soak in cold water.
If you missed color manila run carnival tour well don't worry because it's a tour! so it will also be conducted in other places like Cebu, Bacolod and Davao. Also there's another one coming up this April with race obstacles. Check the details here. See You There! :)
Check their site www.colormanilarun.com or follow their facebook page for details.
Hi! May ask if they have lockers for the stuff of the participants? Especially those who will just commute.. I have a friend who will the join color Manila run this Sunday and she is wondering where she could place her things (phone, wallet, etc.) But I could see some of your photos that they brought their sling bag with them. Am I right? So they're running while carrying their bag?

I know I'm too late but they do have baggage counters. The race kit comes with a baggage stub if you want to leave your belongings.
